President

Mushtaque Mohammed was born on the 4^th August 1962 in thesmall village of Piparo.  He has been involved in Sports as a sports man and an Administrator.  He played Cricket in his early career as a wicket-keeper and an opening batsman for the village team.  Volleyball has been his passion especially since the game was played in front of his home on an oil sand court. 

Eventually he captained the once popular Volleyball team named Hotspurs.  In 1988 he became the assistant secretary of the Trinidad and Tobago Volleyball Federation (TTVF) and by May 1989 he was promoted to Secretary General.  He held this post until 1992 when the then president resigned and he was asked to complete the two year term of office by the general council and still holds that position. In 1993, after the successful hosting of the 3^rd Caribbean Volleyball Championships he received the Jeffery Stollmayer’s Sport Administrators Award.  In 1994 he became the president of the Caribbean Zonal Volleyball Association a post he currently holds. In 1996, he was elected by the North, Central America and Caribbean Volleyball Confederation (NORCECA) as Vice President a position he is still serving and in 1997 he was elected as an executive member of the Trinidad and Tobago Olympic Committee and held the position of Vice President of the TTOC from 2005-2013.
